ChargeQuote ("we") helps UK households price EV charger installs and match with vetted installers. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
1. What we collect
Contact details (name, email, phone), your postcode and property details, and the answers you give the cost calculator and quote assistant. We also collect basic analytics such as pages visited and device type.
2. Why we collect it
To produce your cost estimate, check grant eligibility, and match you with OZEV-approved installers who can quote on your job. We process this data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in providing the service.
3. Who we share it with
When you ask to be matched, we share the qualified job — including your contact details — with vetted installers covering your postcode, so they can send you quotes. We never sell your data to unrelated third parties.
4. How long we keep it
We retain enquiry data for up to 24 months so we can support your install and improve our estimates, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
5. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, withdraw consent, or object to processing at any time. Email privacy@chargequote.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to staff and vetted installers who need it to serve your enquiry.
